Deal Desk analyst who builds the tools the desk wishes it had.

Structuring SaaS deals since 2021: pricing, terms, approvals, and quote-to-cash. I also built an AI assistant that reads the pipeline every morning and flags the deals that need deal strategy before Sales asks.

Slack daily brief

One morning's brief as it lands in Slack: five deals, the reason each one surfaced, and the unsent draft waiting in each AE's DM.

How I work

  1. Find the value before touching the price.

Term, ramp, payment timing, scope, and marketplace route are all levers. Discount is the last one.

  2. Every give has a named get.

It is written on the approval. If Sales cannot name the get, the request goes back with a suggested one.

  3. Timing is the value.

A flag that arrives while the AE still has room to act is help. A flag that arrives after the customer has the paper is noise.

  4. Sales-first language.

Every recommendation is written in terms of the rep's deal: speed to signature, customer confidence, fewer late surprises.

  5. Name the source for every claim.

If I can't cite the record, the post, or the email, I don't state it.

  6. Bring a proposed solution with every problem.

“Here's what I think, tell me if I'm wrong” gets a reply in hours.
